Vacation w/ Chelsea & Jake

Vacation!! Chelsea & Jake took the train out from Wisconsin. Their first stop was in Idaho to visit with his family for a week. We met them at Sun Lakes State Park for the Memorial Day weekend. Camping was alot of fun and we got to catch up & visit with Jake's mom & dad also. Chelsea & Jake then came home with us for the second week of their trip. It was a busy few days after we came home. Wednesday, we took a quick trip down to Portland to visit a really cool book store. Everyone came home with books and Jake found a few for work that he had been looking for. On the way back from Portland, we took a side trip to Mount St. Helens. Thursday, we went to Tacoma to the farmers market, had a nice lunch, and got everything ready for our BBQ on friday. Friday, Jake & Rick went out fishing while Chelsea & Brenda went to Seattle for the day with Grandma, Jackie, Sami Jo, & Alli. We spent some time at Pikes Place Market, had lunch at the Cheesecake Factory, and then to the 5th Ave. to see Grease!! After the show it was back to our house for a Wisconsin BBQ of brauts, hot dogs, Wisconsin cheese and beer. Chelsea & Jake brought the cheese and beer all the way from Wisconsin with them!! It was fun for everyone to get to visit with them before they went home Saturday morning.

Chelsea & Rick geo caching. They found this one, but the next one proved to be exciting. They went thru a hole in the mountain and Brenda went to see how they were doing, there was a snake in the hole!! They were able to find an alternative way out of the area.

Update!!!

Well, It has been a long time since we updated our blog!! So here is a quick look at what we have been up to in the last 4 months. We have taken a couple of weekends and had some fun and Brenda spent a weekend with her niece, Sami Jo, at the Great Wolf Lodge for her birthday!!

January - Weekend @ Westport

March 1st - Surprise Visit to Chelsea & Jake

Jake & Brenda conspired to surprise Chelsea for her birthday!! Brenda was able to go out to Wisconsin for a little visit. It had been almost a year since Brenda saw Chelsea. She was able to arrive on the doorstep without Chelsea knowing she was coming. It was a great visit!!

March - Brenda's Birthday Weekend

The Coho Ferry - the trip home was a long one. Due to the weather, we were unable to take the quick Clipper ferry. We took the Coho to Port Angeles, then onto buses for a ride to the Bainbridge Island ferry over to Seattle. Our 3 hour trip turned into a 7+ hour ordeal. What an adventure!!

April - Easter Weekend

We went to LaConner to ride bikes around the flower fields. The tulips were not out yet, but the daffodils were. Has a good ride and the weather was pretty good.

April - Sami Jo's Birthday

Brenda went with her niece, Sami Jo, for her birthday to the Great Wolf Lodge. Her sister, Jackie, and 3 of Sami Jo's friends went along. We all had a great time and spent alot of time in the water and on the slides!!
